They both were apprehended just before they were going to open fire at a prominent five star hotel in South Delhi area on the direction of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
• To evade their arrest, they fired 05 rounds on police team.
• Two sophisticated pistols with 04 live cartridges recovered from them.
• One Motorcycle with fake Delhi number was also recovered.
On 08.12.23 during late night hours, team of Special Cell/Northern Range, led by Inspr. Anuj Nautiyal and Inspr. Nagender under the supervision of Sh. Rahul Kumar Singh, ACP, Spl. Cell/NR and Sh. Rajiv Ranjan Singh, DCP/NR, Spl. Cell has arrested two members of notorious Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate after a brief exchange of fire on the road leading towards Ambiance Mall, Vasant Kunj, Delhi while they were going to execute a task of firing at a renowned five star Hotel in South Delhi area on the instructions of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang.
INFORMATION AND OPERATION
In its efforts of cracking down on rogue operators of criminal syndicates in Delhi/NCR, team of Northern Range, Special Cell was continuously monitoring the activities of Lawrence Bishnoi gang manually and technically. During the operation, the team identified a Haryana based module of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate involved in extortion racket to raise funds for the syndicate. It came to light through reliable sources that Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate is going to send their sharp shooters in Delhi to open fire at some prominent place to extort protection money.
The dedicated team was further deployed to collect intelligence on ground. Technical surveillance was mounted and sources were also deployed in Delhi & Haryana. On 08th December 2023, the team received a specific information that the gang members of Lawrence Bishnoi- Anmol Bishnoi syndicate are about to come in Vasant Kunj area to execute a plan of firing at a renowned five star Hotel of South Delhi. On this specific information, a team was constituted and a trap was laid at Vasant Kunj, Delhi. During late hours two suspects were spotted riding on a motorcycle. When they were asked to stop and surrender, they started firing on police party with sophisticated weapons. Police party also fired in self defence and apprehended both the accused persons. The identity of rider was revealed as Anish @ Mokhra R/o VPO-Mokhra, P.S. Bahu Akbarpur, Distt. Rohtak, Haryana, age 23 Yrs and the pillion rider was found to be a minor in age (CCL). During the shootout, police personnel managed to save themselves because of Bullet Proof Jackets worn by them. Two semi-automatic pistols with four live cartridges were recovered from them. Empty cartridges fired by accused persons and police team were also recovered from the spot. One Motor cycle with fake Delhi number plate was also recovered. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Special Cell and investigation is on.
PROFILE AND INTERROGATION OF ACCUSED PERSON
Accused Anish @ Mokhra was born in his village in 2000. His father is farmer and mother is house wife. He studied up to class 12th from Govt Senior Secondary School, Kalanaur in 2018 & took admission in four-year diploma in Tourism Management from MDU but discontinued it in 2019.During his studies, he came in contact with bad elements and started committing crimes in Rohtak. In 2019 he started robbery, threatening and firing for extortion on behalf of his distant relative Rohit @ Mota, a criminal active in Rohtak. In May 2023 he started developing some differences with said Rohit @ Mota who humiliated accused and to avenge this humiliation, he decided to kill Rohit @ Mota with the help of some dreaded criminals. In this effort he got Insta id of one member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang lodged in Punjab Jail and through him he succeeded to establish direct contact with Anmol Bishnoi, relative and close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi. The accused was tasked by syndicate to open fire at a prominent five star hotel in south Delhi area. Then he roped in a juvenile of the same village to associate him in the crime. The juvenile agreed as he was also looking for criminal support to settle his personal score. The recovered weapons & ammunitions were arranged by gang member at Haryana. Some days back both of them visited and identified the place of firing and also identified the route of escape. On the day of execution, both left Rohtak for Delhi on a Delhi fake number motorcycle with weapons.
